The Nigerian Inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu has announced the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force.
This is following the recent public outcry on reckless brutality, torture, harassment and extra-judicial killings meted on the citizens.
The attention of the international community has been drawn to the issue with the recent mass protests across the country and the use of #ENDSARS across different social media.
He said the disbanded group will be integrated into other security bodies across the country.
