Diane Lemaire Scholarship
This scholarship is made possible through a bequest from the late Diane Lemaire, who was the first woman to graduate with an engineering degree from the University of Melbourne in 1942. It’s available to female PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering & IT to fund a project or proposal that will enhance the applicant’s PhD and research outcomes.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be a female PhD student
- have completed the equivalent of at least six months candidature
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Academic merit of the applicant
- Quality of the proposed project and how this opportunity will enhance the applicant’s PhD
- Quality of research and the strength of a personal statement
