5 Positions of Portioning Assistant at RwandAir Catering Ltd: (Deadline 25 January 2022)
Job title: Portioning Assistant (5 positions)
Department : Production
Reports to: Portioning Supervisor
Reporting Line Manager: Executive Chef
Role : The job holder is responsible for the delivering of Catering services.
Major responsibilities.
- Set the trays for airlines using the specifications provided.
- Load the trays properly in their various trolleys.
- Place the catering trolleys in the holding fridge.
- Arrange the work area before daily work begins
- Verify labels with right date production on meal boxes and trays
- Collect from other departments all the items to set-up meals trays
- Carry the meals trolleys to the holding room
- Keep clean the work place and the production tools
- Observe quality requirements
- Observe safety and security requirements
Knowledge, skills, and experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience in food handling
- A1 Certificate (A Level Certificate}
- Experience in Airline or Hospitality Industry
Prerequisites:
- Physically fit for the job

Job title: Tray Set Up Assistant (2 positions)

Job title: Cold Kitchen Assistant (10 positions)

Reports to: Cold Kitchen Superviso
Reporting Line: Executive Chef
Role: The job holder is responsible for the preparation and presentation of fruits and vegetables according to the standard operation.
Major responsibilities.
- Get meal orders from Dispatch unit
- Collect utensils from dish wash for use
- Collect raw materials from store and ware house for daily use
- Wash and sort all fruits and vegetables and store them accordingly.
- Prepare fruits and vegetables (cutting, juicing /plating) as recommended or as guided by supervisor and according to airline specifications.
- Color code and label according to requirements.
- Cold storage for flight /cold & hot kitchen
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, skills, and experience.

3 Positions of Hot Kitchen Assistant / Cook at RwandAir Catering Ltd: (Deadline 25 January 2022)
Job Title: Hot Kitchen Assistant / Cook (3 positions)
Department: Productio
Reports to: Executive Chef
Role: The job holder is responsible for the preparation and presentation of food to the standard set by the company and in accordance with the specifications.
Major responsibilities.
- Know all menu specifications and be able to assist other employees
- Prepare and present the food in accordance with the culinary standard established by the company and with the agreed composition, weight, and quality detailed in the menu specification and avoid food wastage.
- Keep refrigerators and work places clean, neat, and orderly. Everything must be covered and garbage bins should never be over run.
- Notify supervisor of food shortage and equipment failures.
- Provide reference to staff as and when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge, skills, and experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Kitchen
- A1 Certificate (A Level Certificate}

1 position for Driver/Loader at RwandAir Catering Ltd: (Deadline 25 January 2022)
Job Title: Driver/Loader
Department:Operations
Reporting to: Dispatch Coordinator
Reporting Line Manager: Operations Manager
Role Purpose Statement: Load, unload Aircrafts, and drive catering vehicles in order to ensure airlines are timely and fully catered.
Key Interfaces:
Internal: Operation Manager, Head Department, Shift Leader, Loaders, Flight Coordinators, Dispatch, Quality Manager, Safety and Security Manager
External: airline companies, airport authorities, security companies
Main Accountabilities.
- Driving of the company vans/high loaders and trucks
- Load catering trucks with trolleys and items/materials required by airline companies
- Drive catering trucks to the aircraft parked into the airport and according to the airport requirements and load them as per the standards
- Unload trolleys from the aircraft and position them to the washing area.
- Adhere to the Ramp safety procedures while on tarmac
- Verify the trolleys’ content according to the check-list.
- Check the working status of the trucks before loading and inform Maintenance team /Dispatch team in case of technical faults.
- Conduct vehicle hygiene inspection daily and ensure vehicle cleanliness
- Be in charge of company’s cargo
- Fill in proper forms and documents related to truck and other company vehicle incidents
- Observe Quality Ramp Safety and Security requirements.
- Perform a correct aircraft approach assisted by the loader
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience.
- Physically fit for the job
- Able to handle pressure
- Capable of working extra hours
- Aged less than 41 years old
- Minimum qualification required: A2/Senior six
- Additional qualification required: Auto mechanic experience
- Minimum experience of driving trucks/high loaders required: 3 years
- Trucks driving licence (Italian codes B/C/D)
