Covid-19: Rwanda extends lockdown

The lockdown which started since 15th March 2020 made it a month and two days today.

The ministry of health has been so wonderful in containing the dreaded virus which has taken so many lives globally, most especially in Europe.

An extraordinary cabinet meeting via video conference was chaired on 1st April by His Excellency President Paul KAGAME where additional two weeks was given till 19th April to further contain the outbreak in Rwanda. 

Today 17th April, another cabinet meeting was chaired by His Excellency President Paul KAGAME and the lockdown is once again extended till 30th April 2020.

So far, Rwanda has recorded over 100 cases with no deaths and have applied professionalism in handling the case. 

As of today 17th April 2020, Rwanda has recorded a total of 143 cases, 0 deaths, 65 recoveries and 78 active cases on Covid-19.
